Blogger gets a new make up!

Recently, Google Blogger has launched few new innovative layouts called as  Dynamic views. These are built with the latest in web technology (AJAX, HTML5 and CSS3), Dynamic Views gives a unique browsing experience that will inspire the readers to explore your blog in new ways. The interactive layouts make it easier for readers to enjoy and discover your posts, loading 40 percent faster than traditional templates and bringing older entries to the surface so they seem fresh again.

I have tried, these new seven layouts, the below are the look and feel of 'challenge the challenges' in this new makeup. Out of  all these, what impressed me are Magzine and Timeslide views.

However, what still remains as mystery is how to add the existing features like external javascripts, third party plugins like traffic tracker , cluster map etc. Will have to wait and see how blogger provides a away to include these existing features.

Editing the colors, blogger header images etc. is not so easy with these layouts. One has to know the CSS inorder to achieve this(as shown below)!!

Blogger promises to add more ways to customize these new views soon.

Here is a sneak peak at these new views.

Classic - A modern twist on a traditional template, with infinite scrolling and images that load as you go.

FlipCard - Your photos are tiled across the page and flip to reveal the post title

Magazine - A clean, elegant editorial style layout

Mosaic- A mosaic mix of different sized images and text.

SlideBar - An email inbox-like view with a reading page for quick scrolling and browsing

TimeSlide - A horizontal view of your posts by time period

Snapshot - An interactive pinboard of your posts.
It hasn't been able to detect the images in the posts, so it didn't come out well for this blog.

If you have lots of photos on your blog, you may prefer Flipcard or Snapshot. If your blog is more text-heavy, then Classic, Sidebar, magazine or Timeslide may be preferable.
